Pairi Daiza
The Nautilus is a fun aquarium that fully exploits the theme of the novel “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”, taking visitors on a voyage around the globe in Captain Nemo’s submarine. Twenty-five aquariums with a total volume of 450,000 liters present marine and freshwater fauna, both temperate and tropical.
Missions carried out
Aquarium design, programming, studies and site supervision. Sourcing of animals, participation in recruitment of the operating team, launching and start-up of operations.
Complete mission covering the choice of tank themes, collections, aquariums, water treatment, technical premises and operations.
The main feature of this project was the construction of a modern aquarium in an 18th century château, within a very short timeframe (9 months) and on a reasonable budget.
