Optimise your animal facilities with BLC Zootech

Turn your vision into reality with BLC Zootech!

Animal parks and zoos have seen their presentation philosophy, their raison d’être and their tools evolve in leaps and bounds over the last few decades, developing their conservation, educational, research and entertainment missions.

Whether it’s creating enclosures, restraining fences, recreating biotopes, managing behaviour… getting closer to the animals’ natural living conditions (greenhouse….), technology is of vital importance, but it is only a tool. Our aim is to enable the operator to forget about technology and focus fully on management and collections.

BLC Zootech combines knowledge of species in their natural environment, mastery of the technical parameters involved in design, experience of the constraints of captive breeding, knowledge of national and European legal standards, and the design of quality facilities that ensure the well-being of the animals and the safety of staff and visitors.

The animal’s well-being: the satisfaction of its biological, physiological and ‘psychological’ needs are sine qua non conditions for the success of such a project. Animal welfare conditions are often far removed from the general public’s idea of them.

The quality of observation of the live show: the role of the zootechnician is to make the most of the habits of a given species in order to get the best out of it in terms of presentation and discovery of the intimacy of this species by the visitor. The aim is not to show an animal, but to share with visitors special moments in the life of that animal. It’s not just about admiring the animal, it’s also about surprising, moving and learning…
