Nausicaa
Design study, project management, site supervision and assistance with commissioning the extension to the Centre National de la Mer.
With this extension, Nausicaa becomes the largest aquarium in Europe with its new “High Seas Adventure” attraction, including a 9500 m3, 8 m deep tank with sharks and a manta ray.
Technical equipment for the aquariums: filtration, lighting, glazing, furniture tanks, wave machines, etc.

The sizing of the water treatment system from the pumping in at sea to use in the various tanks,
Closed circuit filtration
Water treatment and purification before discharge into the sea.
Water treatment is carried out on 2 filtration circuits with different temperatures and water qualities by :
- Around twenty sand filters up to 3.5 metres in diameter,
- Fluidised-bed biological filtration over a surface area of 150,000 m².
- Treatment by U.V. irradiation
- Ozone contact chamber treatment,
- Denitration in mechanical sulphur filters.
